Macro Friendly Fruit Crisp

With summer quickly approaching, Ontario farms are going to be pumping out some awesome berries! I was playing around in the kitchen with this in mind and made a super tasty, fresh, low macro fruit crisp! 


200 grams of any berry or mix of berries 

40+20grams of oats 

40gr mixed unsalted roasted nuts 

2 tbsp maple syrup 

1 tbsp coconut oil

1 tbsp fresh lemon juice 

Vanilla extract


Pumpkin pie spice 

Preheat oven to 350, in an oven safe small baking dish combine all berries, 1+1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1 tsp of vanilla, and 1 tbsp of vanilla. In a blender pulse together 40grams of oats, 40 grams of nuts, tsp pumpkin pie spice, and tsp of cinnamon. In a seperate bowl combine maple syrup, coconut oil, and vanilla. Combine nut/oat mixture with the maple syrup mixture and then place ontop of the berries. Bake for 15 mins at 350, then turn the heat up to 400 for 10 mins. Let cool and then enjoy! Maybe add some vanilla ice cream on top??
