Get All Your Veggies Tacos

Fire up the BBQ and lets have TACOS! Here is a low carb taco recipe that you can really get your “Micro Nutrients” in! Micro Nutrients are the vitamins and minerals our foods contain, we need these to thrive as humans and grow our muscles! Fruits, veggies, and red meat contains the biggest micro nutrient hits, so here is the recipe for one of my favourite meals.


Ingredients 

Romaine lettuce 

Italian parsley

Broccoli slaw

Broccoli sprouts 

Salsa of choice 

Flank steak 

olive oil 

Red wine vinegar 

Garlic

Salt

Pepper


Directions

Lightly salt flank steak and grill to your liking 

Let rest for at least 5min before cutting into strips (cut against the grain of the meat)

While waiting for your meat to “rest” lets make the Chimichurri sauce.



Chimichurri sauce 

In a blender combine 

1 cup of Italian parsley 

3 crushed and chopped cloves of garlic 

1/3 cup of olive oil 

1/3 cup of red wine vinegar 

Pinch of salt and pepper 

Blend until smooth 


Then using romaine lettuce at taco cups layer the salsa, steak topped with chimichurri sauce, broccoli slaw, broccoli sprouts and enjoy!!
